The lodge is run and owned by a lovely couple, Franco and Monica, who do their best to make guests feel at home. Franco, Monica and the rest of their team are cordial and accommodating to the needs of their guests. There are 10 cozy bungalows for accommodations which are clean, comfortably furnished and equipped with modern amenities. The lodge has a great restaurant where you can enjoy scrumptious Italian and Costa Rican meals. Costa Azul Lodge has a family oriented atmosphere with good level of privacy. Accommodations
For accommodations, Costa Azul Lodge features 10 small bungalows that are charmingly built and elegantly designed. The bungalows are furnished with two plush double beds and private bathrooms with hot water supply. They are expansive, airy and clean with large windows for ventilation. Some of the accommodations have a completely equipped private kitchen as well. Guests are offered many amenities that include satellite TV sets, air conditioners, a coffee maker and a mini fridge. The bungalows open to a spacious deck furnished with lounging chairs, desks and a hammock. From the deck, vacationers can relish the salty breeze of the ocean, glorious sundown and garden views while sipping on a chilled beverage. The gardens encircling the lodge are immaculately polished and flourishing with a wide range of tropical trees, blooming flowers, orchids and rich fruits including coconut, banana, mango, passion fruit, cocoa, guava and plantains. In the garden, you will often see tropical birds and mammals like parrots, toucans, monkeys, sloths and raccoons.
Restaurant
Sitting in the heart of the garden amongst blossoming flowers and swaying trees, the restaurant is a fine place to eat out. It has a family friendly environment with a cozy vibe to it. The restaurant offers a variety of mouth watering Italian and Costa Rican dishes, chilled beverages and fresh fruits. It is a perfect spot for dates, family dinners and lively round of drinks with friends.
Activities
The lodge has a convenient location that allows guests to access and experience a plethora of things readily. Popular activities in the area are bird watching, tours of butterfly gardens, iguana farms and Puerto Vargas National Park, canopy tours, waterfall expeditions, rafting, quad tours and trips to the banana and pineapple plantations.
